This camp was not created to be a "show". We don't set an end point, we don't strive for the perfect performance of a play.

What we care more is that during the three days you really
feel your body awakening in the mountains and forests,
awakened by the wind and the land your own emotions, imagery,
and imagination begin to emerge breathing, colliding,
and co-creating with other people, and experiencing
the process of "generating" in the theater.

This is a three-day co-creation workshop centered on theater training and self-exploration. We put expression into the body and leave creation to the unknown.
Event location: Xi'an, at the foot of the Qinling Mountains, next to Baita Temple
Date: August 26-28, 2025, accommodation included
What will we experience? Over the three days, you will join a facilitator and a companion in:
Undertaking basic bodywork: awakening the senses, breaking the inertia of the mind (Kill the Monkey)
Experiencing improvisational contact: non-verbal ways of building relationships and expression
Exploring psychodrama methodology and imagery: touching emotions and stories through imagery
Experiencing the experience of dancing with light and darkness: touching the other side of the subconscious mind from the physical body
Trying to develop the material experienced into a theatrical piece, even if it is just a moment; perhaps we will choose to have a small open presentation on the last night. Develop the material experienced into a theater piece, even if it's just a moment; perhaps we'll choose to do a small, open-ended presentation on the last night.
Or perhaps we'll just tell those stories softly by firelight.

Who are we?
This co-creation camp was initiated by a group of students and organized in conjunction with the support of teachers and theatre practitioners.
Some wanted to record the process of co-creation in video and make a short documentary.
Some want to explore psychological issues such as "stress", "ego" and "dissociation".
Some are looking forward to understanding how art healing can be realized through theatre work.
Some people just want to try a different way of expression.
We come from different backgrounds and have different starting points, but in these three days, we are willing to become a temporary theater community and accompany each other.
