On July 19th-20th, the offline workshop - "Emotional Theatre Experience Workshop", curated by Lumos Teen Theatre Team, was successfully concluded at Shanghai BaoLiCheng Music and Art Workspace! A dozen teenage partners, with their exploration of emotions and curiosity about theater, experienced a unique physical and mental journey together.

Workshop Core:Theatre, not just a performance, but a container for emotions
In a rapidly changing world, we are often pulled by various emotions. In the two-day workshop, we took "Emotion Mapping: From Chaos to Awareness" and "Reshaping Expression: From Awareness to Empowerment" as the themes and chose "Game Theater" as the core method. We chose "Game Theater" as the core method, so that participants could see more possibilities for themselves by jumping out of the limitations of the self, and find an outlet for their emotions to express themselves, so that they could shift from passive suffering to active coping, and be empowered for their future lives.

Two Days Journey:From "Chaotic Awareness" to "Expressive Empowerment"
During the two-day workshop, under the guidance of Ms. Jingmo, participants began by re-understanding themselves, feeling the ups and downs and balance of emotions, the power of connecting and empathizing with each other, releasing their imaginations in co-creation, interpreting emotions in all their forms, and accepting their whole selves through sharing and authentic expression.
Ms. Jingmo's professional and warm guidance created a safe, open and creative field for the participants, making every exploration deep and meaningful.

The impromptu sparks, the stories sincerely shared, the looks of concentration and devotion, and the hugs of mutual support... are some of the most touching images of this summer. We believe that this two-day experience has planted a seed in the heart of every participant - a seed of emotional awareness, courage to express and inner strength.

To be continued...
"The Emotional Theater Experience Workshop" is an important step in Lumos' exploration, but it is by no means the end! We see the unlimited potential of theater as a window for emotional expression and a tool for growth.
